Welcome to spheric, the blog site dedicated to the multi-channel  www.spheric-collection.com sound recordings in the format-B.

This format well known under the name of 1st order Ambisonic, was for me a real brainwave. As a sound editor and sound-designer i was looking for sounds more dedicated to 5.1 dolby surround. Multichannel recording solutions comes to light but, for either technical and practical reason, i go for ambisonic.

It is in 2005 with the first portable system ” ST250 ” of the brand Soundfield™ that the first sounds of www.spheric-collection.com were recorded.
Since this date, they‘ve not left our DAW timelines. It has become the ideal format for 5.1 editings which will grow in the years to come with the evolution of the broadcastings in sound 3D (Dolby atmos, Auro3D, NHK 22.2). All our sounds reflect the sound environment in 3D.
